first, check out this addictive dance!
i would have tried to learn it if i have any talent for dancing in me xD. this is a pretty old dance, choreographed for a korean dance hit in 1996. The song is titled black cat, and was sung by turbo, a hugely popular duo in the mid-90s. one of the two guys (kim jong kook) was part of turbo. casted as the regulars for running man, both of them would recreate the dance on the show from time to time (maggie, you know right?!). and i would always watch with great interest :D
nowhere seemingly as impressive as the dance itself, but the original music video is right below:
sounds strange doesnt it? no disrespect to the song, but it sounds kind of nonsensical to me. but i guess its perfectly legitimate that music like this used to be the mainstream in the mid-90s. just like how bonamana, a-cha (super junior) and lucifer (shinee) are today.
fast forward a few more years, after turbo disbanded, kim jong kook managed to enjoy immense popularity as a solo-artiste, with loveable/lovely being his most popular piece of work. his macho physique and manly talking voice doesnt quite match up with his singing voice (with some people calling it the mosquito voice), but he won many over with his singing ability.
enjoy!
