its a honeymoon period for me now. this 3 weeks is probably the only time in my whole ns life where i can book out and go home at 5pm!
and on most days i get to go home earlier than that. im on a prep-course to become a tekong commander, but the course only starts next week. we are basically only helping out with the coming recruits graduation parade, and there wasnt much for us to do just yet. this weekend will be burnt though.
which explains why i had an off-in-lieu yesterday! it have been ages since i last caught a movie, and i went to catch one in jim carreys mr poppers penguins. its a cute comedy that i really enjoyed.
jim carrey is funny, and the penguins are funny, but theres more to the humour than that. i particularly like the role of kim carreys secretary (a.k.a. pippy) in the movie. she speaks slightly fast, her pitch is slightly high and most of the words in her dialogues start with the letter 'p' ("patience is a priority for this particular person"). do pay attention to her if you are watching the movie!
the penguins in the movie are adorable. but in reality, penguins are not as cute like that. i had the misfortune of riding on one the following day...
they send you to where you dont want to go!
gotta sleep early, or i will miss the penguin tomorrow : /
