the month of june is not a good one for me...
anyway, my purpose of blogging is not to lament about how bad the month was. last friday marked the end of my trainee life in army (like finally, after 7+ months!). im officially a 3rd sergeant now.
looking back, life as a trainee can a tough sometimes, but i feel that it is overall very interesting. time dont exactly fly when you are in the army, but the past 7-odd months have not been a boring experience. as a trainee, there were many phases of training to look forward to, and much of the time passed without my noticing. there were many difficult times, but ive forgotten how difficult they were, and i only remembered the good experiences.
now that im a junior commander, responsibilities are going to pour in. there will be people under my care whom i have to account to. no longer am i a trainee who is somewhat immune to mistakes and heavy responsibilities.
although im going to lose my 'privileges' as a trainee, im also very much looking forward to being a Tekong sergeant. but one thing im going to miss for sure:

fighting alongside my band of brothers. now i know what people mean when they talk about the spirit of brotherhood.
